A study on my familial roots in Sicily and a consideration on the fragmentation of place, memory and the ties of ancestral connections. This installation includes a woven poseidona seaweed textile, a handwoven net, a net from the island of lampedusa, a foraged fisherman’s net and various discarded items found on the island of ortigia and siracusa, sicily.
